I’m self-employed and work from home. How much can I expect to pay for shredding?
If you require a regular service, we offer a monthly collection from £99 + VAT per year – that equates to just £1.90 per week. This service includes a sack to put your waste paper in and a certificate of destruction for your records.
Alternatively, if you don’t accumulate enough waste paper for a regular collection, we offer an ad-hoc service from £45 + VAT per collection. You can read more about each of our paper shredding services in this guide.
Can I pay for a one-off collection?
Yes – we offer ad-hoc services from £45 + VAT for offsite shredding and from £55 + VAT if you’d rather the shredding took place on your premises.
Why does onsite shredding cost more than having it taken away?
Our onsite secure shredding service involves a mobile shredding vehicle coming to your premises and carrying out the destruction of your waste paper on your doorstep. This is more costly than offsite shredding, where we collect the material from you and transport it back to our depot to destroy, due to the higher cost of running our mobile shredding vehicles — which also take longer to shred paper than our onsite machinery — and of employing staff who are trained to perform the service on your premises.
What’s the lowest cost service you offer?
For small businesses, or organisations that are mostly paperless, our monthly sack collection service starts at just £99 + VAT per year (or £1.90 per week). For businesses generating higher volumes of confidential waste we offer a per collection rate from £35 + VAT if you are signed up for a regular service. Ours prices include the supply of secure containers and we have no hidden extras!
How do you work out your shredding service prices?
The fees we charge for paper shredding depend on a number of variables, including:
- how much confidential waste paper there is
- where you’re located
- whether you require onsite or offsite shredding
Therefore, when contacting us for a quote it’s helpful if you can give us as much information as possible regarding quantity and other requirements. This will enable us to give you a quote that’s both accurate and competitive.
Do you require payment upfront?
The only service that we charge upfront for is the small business, monthly shredding service where we ask customers to pay for the full year in advance.
For adhoc and other regular collections, we invoice after the collection has taken place, using the signed waste transfer note to ensure that customers are only charged for what we have collected. Customers have 30 days to make payment.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, BACS transfers and cheques.
