In this piece, we are going to be speaking to our Business Development Manager, Kerrie Wilson to learn more about her role at Russell Richardson and how she can assist fellow members of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce with their secure shredding, archiving and recycling of confidential business waste.

When did you join Russell Richardson?

I joined Russell Richardson in early 2023 so have been here for just over a year now. It’s a great team and working environment, not to mention our now famous fluorescent trainers that have become a talking point when we attend local exhibitions!

 

Why did you join Russell Richardson?

I have over 3 years of experience in the waste industry so it’s an industry I have significant knowledge of and enjoy working in and so when an opportunity came up to join the Russell Richardson team and help them expand their presence in the industry, I gladly accepted and couldn't wait to start.

 

What is your role at Russell Richardson?

My job title is Business Development Manager so I am responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with key customers. I also work closely with the team to promote Russell Richardson's sustainable waste management solutions, in particular their cardboard recycling services, in order to expand their presence in the industry.

 

I’m getting out and about at many networking events so am building up my own networks across the region as well as building on the great reputation Russell Richardson already has with fellow Chamber members.

 

Which sectors do Russell Richardson focus on?

We specialise in helping local businesses with secure shredding, archiving, and recycling of confidential waste. We have a specific focus on legal firms, education, accountants & financial services, medical, estate agents & care homes, which are strong sectors across the South Yorkshire region.

 

Can you tell us more about Russell Richardsons involvement with the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce?

Russell Richardson are patrons of the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce and so are actively involved. Since joining Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber our membership has undoubtedly helped us to grow as a company and has raised our profile in the region. Our level of involvement with the Chamber has naturally evolved to becoming a patron and we’re excited to continue and strengthen this relationship, working with the team to build on this further.
