Small Business and Home Office Confidential Waste Shredding

A regular shredding service with no contract - from just £99 per year.

 

Our SME shredding and recycling service is ideal for small businesses or home workers who want to stay compliant with data protection regulation and protect against data theft but do not generate enough confidential waste for our standard shredding services. 

 

For a one off payment of £99 per year, we will collect, shred, recycle and provide certification for a sack of confidential waste each month.

SME shredding service questions and answers.

 

Q. What should be shredded as confidential waste?

  • Any documents that contain customer, supplier, employee details
  • Invoices and financial documents
  • Bank statements and letters
  • HR records
  • Utility bills

 

Q. Will I get any paperwork?

A. Yes! Your service includes all the paperwork required for data protection compliance. Although no paperwork is issued on the day of collection, you will be issued with an annual waste transfer note / Duty of Care document after your one annual payment and a certificate of destruction will be issued by email after every collection.

 

Q. How will I know when you will be collecting?

A. At the start of the service you will be issued with a calendar showing your collection dates. You will receive a reminder of your collection date for the next month with your certificate of destruction and the day before your collection we will send another email reminding you to have the sack ready in reception.

 

Q. What happens if I have more than one sack?

A. Just call and let us know. Depending on how much extra confidential waste you have, you can either arrange an extra one off collection by using our ad-hoc collection service or, you can upgrade your service to ensure greater flexibility with future collections (Please note that to keep this service at such a competitive rate, our operatives work to capacity and are unable to take any extra confidential waste without prior agreement. Please contact us before your collection so arrangements can be made for any extra shredding.)

 

Q. What happens at the end of the year?

A. We will contact you and let you know that your service for the year is almost over. If you’d like to renew, you can make payment for a further 12 months to ensure there is no interruption to your service. If you don’t wish to continue for any reason, your service will finish after your final collection.

 

Q. What happens if my sack isn’t ready for the operative to collect on the collection date?

A. To ensure all our customers receive their service on their agreed day, our operatives work on a very tight schedule and are unable to wait around for sacks to be gathered. We will send you two reminders, including one the day before your collection to give you chance to get your confidential waste ready. If you do happen to miss a collection, you are welcome to drop off your sack at our facility in Attercliffe for shredding at no extra cost.

 

Q. What happens to my confidential waste after it’s been collected?

A. Your security checked operative will bring your sealed sack back to our secure site in Attercliffe on his tracked vehicle. All the sacks will be shredded on the same day as they are collected and the shredded paper is then baled and sent to the local paper mill for recycling in to soft tissue paper.
